Richard "Bub" Lee Abraham, age 80, died peacefully on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at his home in northeast Albuquerque following an extended illness. He was born on October 18, 1934 in Joice, Iowa to George and Evalene Abraham. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dolores; sons, Michael George and James Lee; daughter, Rochelle "Shelly" Marie Duran and husband Walter Anthony; grandson, Richard A. Abraham; sister, Connie Abdoulah; brother-in-law, Bill Stevens and wife Priscilla; sister-in-law, Rosalie Parker and husband Don; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and family friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Immediately after graduating from Joice High School, he entered into the United States Army. Following his military service, he returned to Joice to work in his parent's businesses, Abraham's Grocery and The Abraham Egg Business. In 1956, Richard came to Albuquerque to work in his father's new business, The Southwest Egg Company. He worked for other companies in Albuquerque including PNM, ICX and ABF Freight companies. He retired in 1993 but continued to work on a part-time basis for many years. He was an avid reader, especially of western novels and enjoyed his collection of western films. Services will be held Sunday afternoon, August 9, 2015, 2:30 p.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming.
