Reyes Amador, 81, a resident of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 19, 2014. He was born on July 27, 1933, in Las Vegas, NM. Reyes is survived by his two sons, Ken Amador and Keith Amador; five grandchildren, Cale Amador, Nicholas Amador, Troy Amador, Trevor Amador and Mikenna Amador; and one great granddaughter, Lucy Amador. He is also survived by his brothers, Leroy Amador, John N. Amador, Tom Amador, and Rudy P. Amador; sisters, Sally M. Dominguez, Fannie Jamison, and Rosemarie Fernandez. Reyes was preceded in death by his sisters, Delma Vigil and Henrietta Amador; his brothers, Nick Amador and Henry Amador, and his parents, Reyes and Mary Amador. Reyes loved the Lord, His Savior, and actively served Him at his church, Temple Baptist Church, also in Albuquerque. He served his country in the Air Force for a total of eight years, receiving the Good Conduct Medal, and was honorably discharged in 1962. During his lifetime, Reyes owned several restaurants and was a skilled and certified chef. His passion for the Lord was most exemplified in his 17 years of faithful and committed service for the Lord at the Albuquerque Rescue Mission. Reyes Amador's sense of humor, passion for life and compassion for others will never be forgotten. The memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH - University. FRENCH - University 1111 University Blvd NE 505-843-6333
