On November 12th, 2023, Rene Rincon was called home to heaven. Rene Rincon was born on June 19th, 1973. Rene was the youngest of nine siblings. Rene graduated from Deming High School in 1993. Although Rene was given a diagnosis of “down syndrome,” the world never held him down. Rene was considered non-verbal, although he could effectively communicate in English, Spanish and sign-language. Rene was an athlete with the New Mexico Special Olympics. He moved to Albuquerque with his sister and guardian Eva Quintana in 2012.
His love for music and dance would entertain him for hours as he moved like Michael Jackson and lip-sang all the words. Rene was the first on the dance floor and the last to leave it. Rene was incredibly light-hearted and never missed an opportunity to laugh. He learned his playful banter from his siblings, and nieces and nephews.
Rene left a long-lasting impact on anyone he met and will be missed by every life he touched.
Rene was preceded in death by his father Francisco and brother Ruben. He is survived by his mother Trinidad, his siblings, Rito (Luz} Rincon, Manuel (Irma) Rincon, Eva (Robert) Quintana, Ramiro (Monica) Rincon, Delia (John) Rodriguez, Rafael (Lilliana) Rincon, Dora (Richard) Rincon, and twenty-one nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Rene’s life will begin at 10:30 am on Saturday, December 2, 2023 with the Rosary, followed by a Prayer Service, and Reception at French Funerals and Cremations, 9300 Golf Course Rd NW, Albuquerque.
