Reita A. Smith

Reita A. Smith went to be with Jesus on May 8, 2015. She fell asleep and woke up in the arms of Jesus. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and is survived by her sons Randy and Kent (Karen) Smith and grandchildren Kayleigh Beth, Katelyn and Mitchell and her sister Peggy Gillham. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Paul Smith, her parents Rev. Mounce and Mildred Brumfield; siblings Marion (Hank) and Wilbur Brumfield. Reita retired from the VA Medical Center after 18 years of service in the Office of Personnel Management. She faithfully supported her church and served in many capacities from being on the board, singing in the choir, worship leader and as a Sunday School teacher for almost 40 years. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 13, 2015, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at French - Lomas. Service will be Thursday, May 14, 2015, 10:00 a.m. at Tramway Community Church, 4800 Tramway Ridge NE 87111. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund, Tramway Community Church.
