Raymond Louis Seaton
July 3, 1934 — March 4, 2017
Raymond Louis Seaton died on March 4, 2017 at the age of 82 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Ray was born in Louisville, Kentucky and was the only son of Raymond Patrick Seaton and Mary (Owsley) Seaton. He served in the Navy Seabee's at the end of the Korean War as a court recorder, serving mainly in the Pacific. He graduated from the University of Louisville in Kentucky in 1960 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in English Literature.
He started working for the US Army in 1960 at Erie Army Depot in Port Clinton, Ohio as a computer programmer. He continued in the computer field and worked at the following Army installations: USA Missile Command at Huntsville, AL; USACOMZEUR in Europe at Orleans, France, and Zweibrucken, Germany; Computer Systems Command, Washington, D.C., and White Sands Missile Range in Las Cruces, NM. He completed his 34-year government career as a computer supervisor.
He married Marlene Dubbert Seaton of Port Clinton, OH on January 25, 1964. Ray is survived by his wife, Marlene Dubbert Seaton (Albuquerque, NM), his children, Beth Carole Seaton (Alameda, CA) and Lee Anne Seaton (Albuquerque, NM); his sisters-in-law, Carol Dubbert (Albuquerque, NM) and Evelyn Dobson (San Diego, CA); his brother-in-law, Bill Dobson, (San Diego, CA) and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his half-sisters, Katherine Johnson Green, Helen Johnson Johns and Mildred Seaton Parihus (Louisville, KY).
