Raymond Charles Pisotti was quite a jokester! That sense of humor of his was quite original! His physical Therapist said, “Ray was always great to work with. He had such a great sense of humor. He always cracked me up with his talk about sausages and his intolerance for dull, subpar cutlery.”
Raymond made the world’s best pizza, Biscotti, and chicken cacciatore, my personal favorite! Cooking was his passion; his family was his heart and soul!
Raymond’s life began in Brooklyn, New York on September 27, 1953. His father David made sausage, that was his superpower! The business was started by his maternal grandfather, Silvio Marchisio and passed down to Rays dad, David, and his uncle Silvio (auntie Irene).
Raymond always spoke of his happiest times growing up with his cousins and friends in Rocky Point, Long Island in New York! The home of both sets of grandparents and his beloved cousin Nonny whom he followed around like a shadow! (Doris) There are many aunts and uncles living in Rocky Point at that time as well!
Rays home during the school year was in Baldwin Long Island, also in New York. As Raymond approached high school, he met the love of his life? The girl of his dreams? They were both me!!
His Bella! He was 16, I was 14!!? Can you even imagine!?! Ray was definitely a “car guy!” The first Fast and furious perhaps. Ray drove a beautiful 1971 Pontiac Firebird! I shouldn’t say drove, he had a car but no Driver’s license! The car sat in pristine condition in his parents’ garage, while they chauffeured us everywhere, mostly from his house to my house, 15 minutes away in one town over. After cars Rays passion was photography! He worked in a store called Camera Fair all through high school. The store was next to Baldwin High School, an easy commute, a few feet away.
My parents relocated to Albuquerque New Mexico after high school was over for me. I went with my parents to NM and made them miserable for a year and a half! They sent me back to New York with their blessing! We immediately made wedding plans! We were married in New York on September 19th, 1976, a week before rays 23rd birthday! 4 years later with incredible crying on his part, nagging on mine, we moved to New Mexico near my parents! We made incredible lifelong friends in New Mexico that we still see to this day! When we went home to New York to see all of Ray and my family we also were able to visit with our lifelong high school friends! Ray was in sales for most of (all of) his working years! First videos, when video rentals were the up-and-coming trend! Then sales rep for Frigidaire appliances and much more, right up to his retirement. 12 years into our marriage we were graced with the presence of Gregory David Pisotti. A New Year’s Day baby, life was looking good in the new year of 1988!
Sadly, June 15, 2024, was a sad day for the Pisotti and Stoff family. We all lost a kind, generous, joke telling, cooking very special man. Raymond was preceded in death by his father, David Raymond Pisotti; his mother, Gloria Marchisio Pisotti.
He is survived by Me, his wife, his Bella, son, Gregory and his wife Katie! The light of Rays life his two grandchildren, Beckett and Piper! His beautiful sister, Gloria Ann and her two sons, Jeffrey Gissinger, and Jonathan Gissinger, his wife, West and their beautiful baby boy Ford! Brother-in-law, Cory, who really is his brother. Ray (Manucci as Cory referred to him!) came into Cory’s life when Cory was 10 years old. Cory’s beautiful children, Sean (Tiffany), Nicole (Brad) and Danielle (Dustin). His sister Marguerite “M”, His brother Phil; nephew, Taylor; nieces, Giavanna, and Victoria. Sister-in-law, Jodi (Jim) Michael, Toni, and Selah. A special love for his cousins, Anna, her son, Cody (Alex) and Cody’s son, Jaxxon! Donna (Angelo) Michael and Michelle (Michael, Hailey and Madison) Cousins, Regina and Laura. Gail Dunn (Bill), Ricky Marchisio (Susan) and so many more nieces, nephews, and cousins!
A special acknowledgement to Luna Vista Home Health Care and Hospice! Without these amazing Healthcare Professionals Raymond and I wouldn’t have gotten the love and care they all gave all of us! Ashley L., Ashley M., Ross S., Elfida, Michele, and Serena! Chaplains Libby Webb and Dan Tuton and Social worker Juliette A.
I miss you so much right now!! I love you forever and always! Bella.
