Raymond "Tommy" Gutierrez

Tommy Gutierrez, 62, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend too many was called home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, August 22, 2015. Tommy was a tough hard working man. First and foremost, Tommy loved his family more than life itself. His wife, children and grandchildren were the love of his life. He had a passion for gardening, carpentry, sports of all kinds and never met a confection that he could turn down. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 39 years, Laurie Gutierrez who loved Tommy with all of her heart; the lights of his life, his children, Benjamin Gutierrez and his wife, Sherry, Christopher Gutierrez and his fiancAC., Jonelle Myers, Nicholas Gutierrez and his wife, Valerie; and his three gorgeous granddaughters, Alannis, Ayleigh and Aleena. He is also survived by his loving mother, Tomasita Gutierrez; and his siblings and spouses, Dennis, Patty, Theresa, Jimmy, Andy, Joey, Mary, Dale and Madie. He also leaves many cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also touching Tommy's life was Laurie's huge family who loved Tommy so much, his great buddies from PNM, his wonderful neighborhood family, and the doctors and amazing nurses, techs and staff from the MSU and ICU at Presbyterian Hospital and Kaseman Oncology and Infusion Center, who helped him through his four and half year long battle with cancer. Tommy was preceded in death by his father, Mariano Reynaldo; and his brother, John Joe. Pallbearers will be: Ben Gutierrez, Chris Gutierrez, Nick Gutierrez, Dale Gutierrez, Andy Gutierrez, Joey Gutierrez, Dennis Gutierrez, Jimmie Worrell, Geoffrey Mueller, Terry Sadler, Mike Caldwell, David Yee, Scott Meister, Al Houghton, and Raymond Gabaldon. A viewing will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at City Church of Albuquerque, 5300 2nd St. NW. The Service will follow at 10:00 a.m., with a reception after the service in the City Church Hall.
