Randall O. Martin, 88, passed away on May 12, 2022. Randall was born December 19, 1933, at St. Joseph's Hospital, in Albuquerque. He attended Monte Vista Elementary, Jefferson Junior High, Albuquerque High and then Highland High when it opened in 1949. He was a member of the second graduating class in 1951. He also was a member of Highland's State Baseball Champions in 1951.
Randall served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict, from 1952-1956. Upon discharge, Randall went to work for the CAA, later to become the FAA. He worked from 1956-1988 at the Albuquerque ARTCC as an Air Traffic Controller and Team Supervisor. Retiring in 1988, he went to work for WCG as an Air Traffic Instructor until 1994. Since retiring, Randall enjoyed golf and traveling worldwide.
Randall was preceded in death by his parents, Russel, and Vincent Martin; his first wife, Beverly in 1970; and his second wife, Kay in 2003, his son, Scott Martin; and sister, Patsy Stell. He is survived by his wife Lynn Martin; grandson, Alan Martin; nephews, Mike and Von Stell; stepson, Dr. Kip Kendrick, and brother-in-law Durward Stell.
Randy belonged to the Tanoan Country Club, Temple Lodge #6, Balut Abyad Temple, and the Monte Vista Christian Church.
A service will take place on Wednesday, May 25th at 10:00am am at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE 87107.
