Ramon Lucero, Jr. (Ray) passed into the arms of Mother Mary and the embrace of God on Sunday morning March 3, 2024. He was born on July 24, 1942. Ray was preceded in death by his two parents, Ramon and Chonita Lucero, two brothers and two grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Annabelle; his three sons, Fred, Raymond, and Christopher; twin daughters, Julianne, and Jennifer; 10 grandchildren; one great grandson; one sister; and two brothers. He served the US Army and retired from Sandia labs. After retiring he worked as a school bus driver. Ray coached Little League for many years. He supported his children and grandchildren in sports from Little League into high school and college sports. He enjoyed camping and roughing it. He loved music, singing, and playing his guitar and accordion. Country western and Ranchito's were his favorites. Pallbearers will be Estevan, Adres, Alejandro, and Jordan Lucero, Dominic Espinoza, and Jude Cordova. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024, 5:00 p.m. at FRENCH- Lomas, services will be Friday, March 8, 2024, 8:00 a.m. with rosary and mass of Christian burial at Nativity of the blessed Virgin Mary church in Albuquerque NM. He will be laid to rest at Mount Calvary Cemetery. We will miss your Jokes and sarcasm always and forever.
