Ralph H. "Bud" Wellons

Ralph H. "Bud" Wellons, age 70, died suddenly on Tuesday, June 30, 2015. He was a native of Burlington, NC, the son of Eula Jeffreys Wellons and the late Herbert Neal Wellons. An employee of Miller's Insulation, Bud loved the outdoors, was an avid gun enthusiast and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his two daughters, Shannon Apodaca (Brian Smiset) of Albuquerque, and Maria Caruthers (husband Mark) of Sugar Hill, GA; five grandchildren, Kelsey, Andrew and Nicholas Apodaca, and Shane and Cody Caruthers. He is also survived by brothers, John F. Wellons (wife Bobbie) of Burlington, NC, and Stephen N. Wellons (wife Jackie) of Asheville, NC. Also important in his life were former wife, Susan Wellons Womble, and Devon Juvinall-Rightly, both of Albuquerque. He also leaves an aunt, niece, nephew, three grand-nephews and many cousins. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at FRENCH - Westside, 9300 Golf Course Rd NW. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite organization.
