It is with a heavy heart and great sadness, we announce the death of our beautiful, loved Ralph Garcia born Friday, April 3, 1959. Went with the lord on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at age 63 a longtime resident of Albuquerque NM with a two-month battle after open-heart surgery. He went home with our heavenly father. Ralph was married to the love of his life Sandra, who he met at age 18 married for 33 amazing years together 45 years. They had two beautiful daughters Daisy and Rose who were the light of his life, and nine grandchildren who he adored with all his heart. Ralph was known for the love he had for his family and friends for his huge heart which left a lasting impression on so many hearts and minds who knew him. He was so considerate, loving and so compassionate. He had a contagious smile, was always happy, always ready to meet a new friend. He was a proud cement finisher all his life, working beside his brother ray and grandson Manuel, leaving amazing, beautiful work all over New Mexico. He had a love for old cars and trucks and was a big football fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. He attended his first Chiefs game in Denver at the Mile High Stadium on Saturday, January 8, 2022, with his family. A memory we will cherish forever. Ralph is survived by his devoted wife Sandra, his loving daughters Daisy and Rose, and 10 beautiful grandchildren, Manuel, Alyssa, Mariah, Dominique, Joe, Jayla, Deja, Aisylnn, Violet, and Donovan. His brothers Ray and wife Delia, Mike, Lalo, and his sisters Rosa, Lulu, Monica, Sheena, Honorine and Anna; his in laws, Debra and Danny, Teresa and Bobby, Byron and Lucy, Andra, and Larry; many nieces, nephews who he adored many aunts, uncles, and cousins and so many friends. Ralph was a strong person and a fighter. He loved God and had true faith. Ralph will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. We loved you with all our hearts and sadly we lost you too soon. There are no goodbyes for us. Someday, we will see you again, you will always be in our hearts. We would also like to thank the Presbyterian Doctors, nurses, and staff for their compassionate hearts. Now you are resting in peace our beautiful Ralph.
The Garcia and Mares family will be holding a visitation followed by a funeral service on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH-University, for those unable to attend there will be a livestream of the funeral service below. Burial will follow and Ralph will be laid to rest at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
