Rafael O. Rocha

Rafael Rocha, 79, beloved husband and father, was called to his eternal resting place on April 12, 2018. He entered this world on April 10, 1939 in Del Rio, TX, born to Marciano and Petronilla Rocha. He is survived by his wife, Dora Rocha; daughter, Zenia Cable; son-in-law, Devin Cable; son, Zaul Rocha; daughter, Zebrina Young, son-in-law, Jesse Young; daughter, Zelina Rocha; grandchildren, Alexa Cable and Trey Thomas. Rafael was a proud veteran of the Army. He loved to be outdoors, cooking and entertaining for friends and family. He always had a newspaper in hand and loved to talk about current events or test our knowledge of history. He had a passion for his Texas teams, Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and the Dallas Mavericks. He was always looking for a game on T.V. He will be missed and forever remembered for his smile and love for his wife, Dora; music and dancing, and his love for sweets. We know you are dancing in heaven and eating all the apple pie, pan dulce and ice cream you desire. We love you so much! Thank you for all the wonderful memories.

A viewing will begin Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 9:45 a.m. followed by a Rosary at 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas of Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd Rio Rancho, NM. Interment will take place Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 11:15 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N. Guadalupe St Santa Fe, NM 87501.
