Rafael Velasquez Radillo, 87, a beloved husband of 50 years and cherished father and grandfather, passed away September 24th, 2024. Rafael was a very compassionate man who volunteered his time in the community, with Old Town Optomist, and at his Church, in which he served as an usher and in other capacities. If someone was in need, he was always there to help. He served his country in the United States Airforce for 21 years and fought in the Vietnam War. He worked as a firefighter in the Air Force and became an Arson Investigator for Bernalillo County. Rafael was an avid collector, enjoyed many different types of music, and loved to dance. He is survived by his wife, Martha, his Sister, Maria, and his 4 daughters (Sharon, Carmen, Tami and Michelle). He leaves behind several nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his son, William, his Grandson, Tony, and his granddaughter, Nicalette. All services will be held at San Jose Parrish. The visitation will be on Tuesday, October 1st, 2024, from 9:00-9:30AM. This will be followed by a rosary from 9:30-10am and the funeral, which will begin at 10AM.
