Rafael passed away in his parents’ arms at UNM Hospital at 6:11 p.m. He brought so much love and joy to his family in the three months and twenty-six days he was with us on Earth. He was here for a short time but made such an impact in so many lives. He was a strong and happy baby. He was always smiling and talking. You knew how much he loved his father and mother by the way he stared at them. You knew how much he loved his brothers and sister by the way he smiled when he saw them. He had such a great time with family at the zoo and seeing all the animals. He enjoyed the State Fair and stared at all the lights and loved all the music. He saw the colorful lights of his family's Christmas tree and slept peacefully under them the night before he went to the hospital. We were blessed by his presence while he was with us. He will always be deeply loved and missed. We will cherish every moment and every memory with him. He is now a beautiful and pure Angel in Heaven with Jesus. We know he’s wrapped in the arms of Jesus until we see him again.
