Priscilla Lopez (Cilla), age 85, passed away on Friday March 20th. She was born on June 30, 1929 in Albuquerque to Guadalupe and Nicolasita Lopez. After her mom died, she was raised by her grandparents Jesus and Telesflora Benavidez. Cilla was a hairdresser in Albuquerque and once owned Charms Beauty Salon on 5th and Central. Cilla faced some difficult trials in her life and yet was by God's grace able to be a successful mother and business woman. She is survived by her only child, Maxine Sloan and her husband, Shaan, of Albuquerque; and her grandchildren Daniel and Samantha Sloan (and two great grandchildren Meka and Penelopie), Jessica Sloan, and Anna and Ben Gonzalez. She was loved and cared for by her brother and sisters, Guadalupe Lopez, Esmeralda Lopez, and Rosalie Muniz, and all their spouses and children throughout her life. In her later days, she was cared for by several loving caretakers such as Maria Guenther, and Mitzi Cunningham, along with several family members. She was blessed to live in her caretaker's home, Darlene Medrano, where she had a safe and loving environment for her in these last years, where she was always joyful and pleasant to be with. She will be missed by those who love her. The Sloan family is so grateful for all the love and concern shown by all, and give glory to God for providing for her all these years. May God have mercy on Her soul through Jesus Christ her Savior and Lord. Services will be held on Wednesday March 25, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Lomas.
