Priscilla Lorraine Jaramillo nee Cordova was born on April 27, 1941 in Los Angeles, CA. Shortly after, she moved to Albuquerque, NM, where she grew up and would spend the rest of her life. There, she met her first and only love, Genaro Jaramillo. They were married on November 8, 1955. In the following decades, Priscilla divided her time working at various jobs at places such as Keller's Meat Market and Siemens, selling handcrafted jewelry with Gennaro at the local flea market, but most importantly, raising her four children, Mark, Toni, Marty, and Melissa.
Priscilla's life was marked by several profoundly tragic events, with her daughter Toni dying in 1992 at age 34, husband Genaro dying in 2005, daughter Melissa dying in 2012 at age 40, and son Martin dying in 2018 at age 57. Despite this, Priscilla never stopped being a constant and unwavering source of love and compassion for her family. Priscilla lived at her house on Lexington Avenue for most of her life. She continued to create beautiful handcrafted jewelry well into her 80's, was a master of several card games, Backgammon, and Scrabble. She died after a short battle with cancer.
She is preceded in death by her parents Luis and Eulalia Cordova, husband Genaro Jaramillo, daughters Toni and Missy, and son Marty. She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by the family she created and loved for her entire life. She is survived by her sister, RoseMary Stapleton and brother Louie Cordova, son, Mark Jaramillo, grandchildren Marie April Cordova, Sonny Benbow (Diana), Sara Benbow-Kern (Philip), Ángela Jaramillo, Anthony (Tiffany), Lila Jaramillo,), Elias Fenstermacher (fiancé Lauren Barela), Derick Fenstermacher (Amy), along with nine great grandchildren, Magdalene Anderson, Charles Benbow, Logan and Hailey Fenstermacher, Malachi, Noel, Levi, A Erie, and Miles Jaramillo.
