Most people have someone they look up to as a role mode. Someone they truly admire and respect; Priscilla DeBlassie was that person. Priscilla was born June 29, 1930 in Belen, NM. She joined the love of her life, husband Paul DeBlassie Jr. in Heaven on August 3, 2015. She was an emotional and spiritual rock to her family drawing from an incredibly rich spiritual life that sustained her and all who knew her. Priscilla's busy life as a wife and mother of six children did not keep her from being a public servant. She served as the President of Our Lady of Fatima's Guild and was also a Eucharistic Minister. Under the guidance of Archbishop Davis, she graduated from the Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma and became a scripture teacher and directed the prayer ministry for the Catholic Charismatic Center. Priscilla was a talented artist whose paintings and retablos graced the homes of many. Priscilla's extraordinary beauty of the simple human heart lives on in her six children, Dr. Paul DeBlassie III and his wife, Kathleen, Joanna DeBlassie Boothe and husband William S. Boothe, Joseph DeBlassie and wife Cyndee, Ronald DeBlassie, Mark DeBlassie and wife Dickcie, and Kenneth DeBlassie and wife Staci. Adoring grandchildren include Stephanie Sponder, Josh Sponder, Caroline Boothe, Marysa DeBlassie, Joseph DeBlassie, Julia DeBlassie, Dominic DeBlassie, Taylor DeBlassie, Zachery DeBlassie, Chris Wisener, Megan Wisener, Jason Wisener, Collette DeBlassie, Ava DeBlassie, Paul DeBlassie IV, Katherine DeBlassie-Page, Maria DeBlassie, and Victoria DeBlassie. Always close to her heart were her siblings, Fannie, Juven, and Ernest Sanchez (deceased), Alfonso Sanchez, Maclovia Zamora, Celina De Lilla, Frances Chisholm, Vicky Lucero, and Annie Sanchez, along with her many nieces, nephews and relatives. A Catholic Rosary will be recited Wednesday, August 5, 2015, 7:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd NE, 87110. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, August 6, 2015, 10:00 a.m., also at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
