Priscilla M. Chavez

Priscilla M. Chavez, age 97, was born July 13, 1927, in Albuquerque, NM, and passed away February 26, 2025. Priscilla was preceded in death by her parents, Leo G. and Leonore (Perea) Chavez; her sister, Erlinda (Sister Linda Chavez); and her two brothers, Leo O. Chavez and Robert F. Chavez. She is survived by her beloved son, Mike D. Chavez; grandson, Erik S. Chavez; and great-grandson, Alex Chavez. She is also survived by her niece, Beverly (Chavez) Rudys; nephews, Robert S. Chavez and Gary Chavez; adopted-nephew, Jason Chavez; adopted-niece, Sonya Chavez; plus many cousins and friends. Priscilla loved life, especially her family and her faith. She traveled extensively, and in her younger years was a soloist at many wedding services.

A Rosary will be held Monday, March 17, 2025, 6:00 p.m., at FRENCH - University. Mass will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2025, 9:00 a.m., at Queen of Peace Chapel, 1420 San Pedro Dr. NE, followed by burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith NE. A reception will follow the burial at FRENCH - University Reception Center. Pallbearers will be Erik Chavez, Alex Chavez, Robert S. Chavez, Joseph Rudys, Gary Chavez, and Richard Aranda.
