Placida Scarton

SCARTON, PEGGYPeggy Scarton was born June 19, 1921 in Clayton, New Mexico and passed away on March 27, 2013 at the age of 91. She is survived by her sons, Clarence and wife Noreen, Tony and wife Judy and her daughter Angela. Peggy was a proud grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She also leaves behind two sisters, one brother, and numerous nieces, nephews and God-children. She was a great mother, grandmother, aunt, Godmother, and friend. She loved to cook, garden, and entertain. She gave of herself unselfishly all of her life. She was married to Oliver Scarton for 61 years before his passing in 2005. She was a cherished jewel and will be greatly missed. Pallbearers are Les Scarton, Steve Scarton, Nicolas Scarton, Josh Trujillo, Andrew Wiese, Grant Malin, and Milton Hyams. Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Therese of the Little Flower Catholic Church, 3828 Fourth Street, NW. Interment will follow immediately at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE.
