Phillip Gregory Plath, 68, passed away on March 17, 2015. Phillip was born in Dallas, TX on September 1, 1946. He graduated from Sandia High School in Albuquerque and attended college in Oklahoma. After college he was an airplane mechanic at Albuquerque International Airport before relocating to Colorado Springs, CO. After receiving specialized training, he was a machinist for Emerson Electric in Colorado Springs for several years and then returned to Albuquerque in 1995. Phil built and flew model airplanes with his dad and had a lifelong enthusiasm for dune buggies and race cars and was a top mechanic. He is predeceased by his parents, Victor J. and Irene M. Plath, of Albuquerque. He is survived by two sons, Damon Plath and Sean Michael Plath, both of Albuquerque; his brothers, Worth O. Plath (wife, Debbie), of Granby MA, and Vincent L. Plath (wife, Judy) of Fairborn, OH; his sisters, Barbara E. Plath, of Santa Rosa, CA, and Anne Plath-Garrison (husband, Shawn) of Lakeport, CA., and numerous nieces and nephews.
