Phillip C. Marquez

Phillip Marquez, 65, beloved husband, father, stepfather, brother and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, May 29, 2015. He was born March 29, 1950 in Los Chavez and was raised in Albuquerque. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Jenny Marquez, and his sister, Josephine Gonzalez. He was a Vietnam Veteran, who served honorably in the United States Air force as a Sergeant from 1968 to 1972. He always maintained a strong spirit and will to live. He loved the Raiders, boxing, fishing and sweets. Although he is no longer with us physically, his spirit lives on in our hearts. He is survived by his wife, Diana; his sons, Phillip Paul Marquez and wife Wendy and Gabriel Marquez and wife Christina; step-son, Chris Sena and wife Lara; step-daughters, DeAnna Sena and husband William, and Melissa Sena and husband Robert; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his brother, Daniel Marquez and wife Virginia; sisters, Lupe Martinez, Isabel and husband Raymond Conn, and Priscilla Marquez, and his nieces and nephews. A service will be held Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Westside. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. FRENCH - Westside 9300 Golf Course Rd.
