PHILLIP "PHIL" BURMEISTER9-18-1933 to 7-17-2012Loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, coach, and friend passed away at home in Albuquerque, NM. He is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Dawn Fernandez (Ken), Lori Feistel (Jerry), Scott Burmeister (Jamie), Liza Campbell (Gerald), Vada Burmeister; grandchildren, Alisha, Arianna, Christopher, Mitchell, Jessica, Zach; great-grandchild, Austin; mother-in-law, Eleanor Buss; sisters, Delores Managan (Tom) and twin Phyliss Duquette; inlaws, Sharon Baggs (Bill) and Bob Buss (Jan). He was preceded in death by his son, Bruce. Phil and his family moved to Albuquerque in 1964. During his life he was active as a coach at Mile High Little League and city softball league teams as well as umpiring for many years. He was field supervisor at Bullhead Park. Phil spent his career building fire trucks, city and forest rescue units and was well known in the fire and rescue community. He gave his time and talents to anyone who needed it without asking anything in return. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Phil's Life will be on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. at French Lomas Chapel with a reception following.
