Peter Wells, 85, passed away on January 14, 2016. Peter was born in Hitchin, Herts, England in 1930 to Frank H. and Elizabeth C. Wells. Peter grew up in England and even after coming to United States in 1958, he remained a British subject. Upon his arrival in the US, Peter went to work for Motorsport and later Art Janpol VW. He also owned his own business and was a master mechanic, specializing in foreign and antique automobiles. Peter not only loved cars, but he had a passion for animals, especially dogs.
Peter is survived by his sister, Pansy Mitchell; niece, Virginia Comely; and nephew, Timothy Mitchell all of England. He is also survived by his ex-wife, Maurcena Wells; and close friends, Brink and Travis Lilley, Mike Burger, Karl Stahlhocker, Al and Susan Unser.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 1, 2016, 2:00 p.m., at FRENCH -University. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sunflower Sanctuary, 25 Clauss Place, Tijeras, NM 87059 or Animal Humane of New Mexico, PO Box 27827, Albuquerque, NM 87108.
