Pete (Dad) passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on June 14, 2015 in Albuquerque. Pete was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Irene; parents Stanley and Georgia Morris; his three sisters and brother and daughter-in-law Laura Morris. He is survived by sons Stanley Morris and wife Deborah, Flint Morris; daughter Theresa Graham and husband Paul; grandchildren J.T. Morris and wife Kristi, Rachel Cahill and husband Peter, Kameron Morris, Sara Graham, Rebecca Graham and Melanie Morris; and great-grandchildren Mia and Dylan Cahill and Laurel and Tyler Morris. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII from 1942-1946. He earned 3 battle stars while serving aboard the aircraft carrier USS Guadalcanal (CVE-60) in the American, Asiatic and European Theaters. He also served with the U.S. Air Force Reserves from 1950-1953. Pete worked at Sandia National Laboratories as a electronics technician for 27 years before retiring in 1985. During his retirement years, he opened a small repair shop and fixed small appliances and televisions. He also volunteered at the National Atomic Museum for a few years. We would like to thank the medical staff, caregivers and family that were so compassionate to our Dad and family during our time of need. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
