Pete McDonald was born in Chama, NM, on Wednesday, August 12, 1942. He went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 3, 2022, in Albuquerque, NM. He is preceded in death by his father, Rufe, Sr. and mother, Helen (nee Ely) McDonald, and by a brother, David McDonald. He is survived by his brother Rufe, Jr. and wife Dorothy McDonald, of Albuquerque, NM. He graduated from Robertson High School in Las Vegas, NM in 1961. He worked in Albuquerque for many years at Henry's Men Store when it was on Central, at Goodwill Industries, and for LifeROOTS.
He was a very generous, kind, gentle, and compassionate person, and he had a very pleasant personality; everyone who knew him liked him. He faithfully attended Azusa Christian Faith Assembly of God Church for many years. He could come up with interesting Biblical insights. For example, when the Covid vaccine was first announced with a 93-95% success rate, he told his brother and sister- in -law that there was a 100% vaccine available, meaning all you have to do is receive the 100% vaccine of Jesus Christ into your heart. Amen. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Azusa Christian Faith Assembly of God Church.
