Perry "Dale" Anglin passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2017 when he entered heaven. He was surrounded by the laughter and smiles of his grandchildren in his home.
Preceded in death are his son, William Arthur Anglin and sister LaDona Woolrich, brother Duane Anglin and nephew Andy Anglin. He is survived by his wife of 63.5 years, Marcy Anglin and their children Terry Dolberry (Steve), David Anglin, Rita McAlpin (Rick); grandchildren Dolly Anglin (Danny Gutierrez) and Vanessa Anglin, Alyssa and April McAlpin and Tyler and Janea Dolberry and Amber King (Henry); great grandchildren Victoria, Mya, Marcus, Malakai, Kassidee, Kamden and Kolten. He is also survived by his loving brother Bill Anglin (Lola) and their son Mike Anglin (Patty), brother-in-law Larry Woolrich and his daughters Lora Snow (Tony) and Judy Woolrich; nephews Perry Anglin (Ruth) and their families.
Dale was born in Hichita, OK to Arthur and Lora Anglin. He moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1950 where he pursued a quite colorful career in a band with Dick Bills and His Sandia Mountain Gang in the 50's. He was an exceptional steel guitar player. Later on, he played the steel guitar with the Elton Travis Band. He also sold insurance for American National Insurance, Co. for 28 years until his retirement in 1994. He loved camping, fishing and playing guitar.
The family especially wants to thank Dale and Marcy's granddaughter, Alyssa McAlpin for her love, kindness and caregiving for her dear "Papa".
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, March 27, 2017, at 1:00 p.m., at FRENCH on Wyoming. Pallbearers are Mike Anglin, Perry Anglin, Daniel Martinez, Danny Martinez Jr., Danny Gutierrez and Marcus Gutierrez.
