Penny Sue Nyholm

Penny Sue Sojka Nyholm was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Lester and Violet (Girouch) Sojka on November 25, 1942. She passed away at her home in Edgewood on Saturday, October 17, 2015 following a year long battle with pancreatic cancer. She moved to Albuquerq ue in 1955 and graduated from Sandia High School in 1960. She retired from US West and went on to work for and retired from United Way. She then worked for Emcore and then for FRENCH Funerals and Cremations. She was a beautiful, kind and generous person and was a joy to be around. Her parents and her son, Lester preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Roger; her son, Michael and wife, Lenore; daughters, Billie and Ginger; stepmother, Helen Kelley; and seven grandchildren. There will be a Memorial Service Monday, October 26, 2015, 1:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas followed by burial at Sunset Memorial Park.
