Penelope Schwinkendorf

Penelope "Penni" Schwinkendorf, a cherished spouse and mother, passed away on September 29, 2024, in her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at the age of 86. She was born on June 5, 1938, to her father, Peter Koehl and her mother, Margaret Pock. Penni was known for her creativity, passion for felines, and unwavering love and support for her family. She will be remembered for her infectious laughter and adventurous spirit.

She pursued her love for art and obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of New Mexico. She continued to pursue her career as an artist and enjoyed painting, ceramics and doll house miniatures. Penni also loved cooking, particularly recipes from different cultures. She will be remembered for her love of travel, kindness that touched the hearts of many, and the lasting impact she has left on all those who were fortunate enough to know her. May her shining presence and joyful nature continue to inspire and bring comfort to all who knew her.

Penni is survived by her loving spouse of many years, William Schwinkendorf; and her daughter, Kelly Maria Schwinkendorf. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and her daughter, Sheridan Ann Mathews.
