Peggy (Pirnack) Walk

Peggy Joyce (Pirnack) Walk, age 92, passed away November 19, 2023, surrounded by her loving family in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Walk; parents, Carl J. Pirnack and Irene Pirnack; brother, HJ (Bub) Pirnack; sister, Rosena Evans; twin sister, Patty Eagan; and son-in-law, Bill Moore.

Peggy was born in West Plains, Missouri, during the Great Depression, where her family owned Pirnack Grocery & Feed.

Peggy’s family relocated to Tucumcari, New Mexico, where she met the love of her life, Bill Walk. Peggy and Bill were high school sweethearts, married soon after her graduation and were happily married for 58 years. Peggy and Bill settled in Albuquerque, New Mexico where Peggy was a resident for 48 years.

Peggy enjoyed her time with her family the most, especially her grandchilren’s sporting events, where no matter the sport, she could be heard calling out, “ring em up!” Other interests included: sewing, gardening, crewel embroidery, reading and traveling.

Everyone who knew Peggy, loved Peggy and she knew no stranger. Peggy will be remembered for her beauty inside and out; her kindness, her smile and her laugh will all be missed and treasured!

Peggy is survived by her children, Diana Moore of Albuquerque, Joyce Zugelter and husband Tom of Saint Augustine, Florida, Spike Walk and wife Laura of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Bryan Moore and his wife Terri, Stephanie Moore, Michael Moore and his wife Crystal, Kyle Zugelter, Austen Zugelter and his wife Danielle, Shane Walk and his wife Daniela and Lianne Walk; great grandchildren, Mack and Julia Moore, Will and Tessa Moore.

A graveside service is scheduled for Tuesday December 12, 2023, at 10:30 am at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87107.
