Pedro Amor Gonzalez

Pedro Amor Gonzalez, 96, beloved father, was called to his eternal resting place on January 6, 2018. He entered this world on January 31, 1921 in Las Cruces, NM, born to Pedro and Maximina Gonzalez. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mabel R. Gonzalez. Sgt. Pedro is survived by his sons, Pete A. Gonzalez and wife, Inga, and Bobby Marquez and wife, Maria; sister, Carmen Cover; grandchildren, Kristopher Gonzalez and wife, Crystal, Dr. Rodger Battani, Sgt. FC Gary Saavedra, Eric Saavedra and wife, Elisa; great-grandchildren, Sofiangel Battani, Evan Saavedra, Cierra Saavedra, and Miranda Saavedra.
Sgt. Pedro served in the United States Army Air Force from July 16, 1940 - May 29, 1946. Sgt. Pedro is a prisoner of war survivor and also a Bataan Death March survivor. He retired with 35 years total government service from The Department of Defense.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, January 17, 2018, 10:00 a.m., at St. Therese Little Flower Parish 3424 4th St. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
