HINES, PAULINE (Polly) HOLLENBECK LONG MULHERINPassed away January 21, 2013 of natural causes. Polly was born February 15, 1917 in Miami, Arizona to Maude Irene and Curtis Long. She was preceded in death by both her parents and her beloved stepfather, Mode Wainscott. Polly had no brothers or sisters, but she was raised with a number of aunts and uncles who were very dear to her. She lived in various places in Arizona, most recently in Chino Valley, before moving to Albuquerque in 2004, following the death of her second husband, Calvin Hines. Polly began school in Glendale, AZ and graduated high school from Buckeye, AZ. She is survived by her son, Harold Mulherin, Jr.,and his wife, Linda from Vancouver, WA; two daughters, Mary Lee Heflin, Emmett, ID and Marlene Wier and her husband, Jimmy from Albuquerque, NM. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. For many years Polly worked for Airesearch Manufacturing in Phoenix, AZ and she retired from the parent company, Garrett Corporation in 1981. To support her family, she also sold Avon products and a line of clothes called Maisonette Dresses. Since coming to Albuquerque in 2004, she resided at Camino Assisted Living where she had wonderful care from a host of caregivers that she loved to tease with. Her last days were spent at Simple Pleasures where she received loving care and comfort from a very special staff. A Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2013, 3:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas.
