Paula Lorraine (Pressley) Huguley
June 8, 1948 — October 20, 2017
Doctor Paula Lorraine Pressley Huguley, age 69, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 20, 2017. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Carl; her two daughters, Dawn and Lisa; her four grandchildren, Natalie, Louis, Avery, and Emmit; and her loving sisters, Pam and Judy. Paula was born in Ft Worth, TX and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Christian University becoming a Registered Nurse. She moved to Albuquerque with her family in 1973 where she raised her two wonderful daughters. She returned to school at the University of New Mexico earning her Master of Arts in Counseling and then her Doctor of Philosophy in Counseling Psychology. She practiced for many years at Family Therapy of New Mexico (now Formation Counseling Services) and as a police psychologist. Paula was active in her church and Christian ministry as a teacher, speaker, therapist, mentor and friend. She will be sorely missed by her family and myriad friends for her warmth and loving kindness.
A viewing will be held Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Rio Rancho in our Desert View Chapel. Funeral Service will be Friday, October 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH – Rio Rancho.
