Paul (Podge) Marchiondo

Paul L. (Podge) Marchiondo age 57, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away at his home on Saturday, December 15, 2012. He is survived by his brothers, David Marchiondo and Alan Marchiondo and wife, Kathy; niece, Lisa (Christopher Jarman) Marchiondo; girlfriend, Melinna Giannini; nephews, Carlo (Allison) Marchiondo and Vincenzo (Madeline) Marchiondo; nephew, Erin Staffel; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Louise Marchiondo; brothers, Vincent C. Marchiondo and Christopher Marchiondo; and sister, Anna Staffel. Paul was fun and loving. He graduated from UNM with a degree in music and was an incredible musician. He was once told by a lady on a train that he was a "damn good-look'n white boy." He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and an active member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Paul was an avid Jets fan and enjoyed playing football, fishing and cooking. Rosary will be recited Thursday, December 20, 2012, 7:00 pm at French-University, with visitation one half hour prior from 6:30-7:00 pm. Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 21, 2012, 10:00 am at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Monsignor Francis X. Eggert officiating. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
