Paul Lynn

Age 84, of Albuquerque, NM passed away in his sleep while in hospice care on February 7, 2013 at The Cottages assisted living facility in Albuquerque, NM following a 5 ½ year battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was born May 11, 1928 to Ezra Eugene and Johnnie Mae (Overstreet) Lynn in Noble, OK. Paul was also raised by Effie Mae Lynn (Ezra's second wife). Paul went to Purcell High School in Purcell, OK where he played football and met his wife, Mary Doris Precise; they were married in 1949. They had four children; Patrick Foster, Barney Paul, Kevin Precise and Elijah Ezra. Paul received his Master's Degree in Education from Oklahoma University and shortly thereafter began a teaching career. His career took him to Albuquerque Public Schools where he was a Carpentry Teacher, Vice Principal and Principal. Paul retired after 30 years of service with the school district. Paul is survived by his children; Pat F. Lynn of Placitas, NM, Barney P. Lynn of Chandler, AZ, Kevin P. Lynn of Plano, TX and Eli E. Lynn of Albuquerque, NM. Paul is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Mary Doris Lynn who he loved very much. A Celebration of Paul's Life will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2013, 3:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Methodist Church, 9500 Constitution NE Albuquerque, NM. The family requests no flowers sent. If family and friends wish to make a donation in Paul's name, the family suggests 'Samaritan's Purse'.
