Paul Longoria, age 79, a well-respected and beloved neighbor, friend, husband, father, grand-father, great-grandfather and long-time Albuquerque resident passed away January 19, 2016. Paul was known for his refreshing kindness, friendship and his "mucho grande" love of life. He never met anyone that could not become his friend.
He is survived by his amazing wife and best friend, Leslie Longoria. Paul is also survived by his children, Michael Longoria and daughter-in-law, Judy Longoria, Michelle Mitchell and Brad Mitchell. Paul's grandchildren include Joel Hearne and wife Brandy, Robert Longoria, Paul Longoria, Mark Longoria, Chase Mitchell, and MacKenzie Mitchell. His three great-grandchildren surviving him are Alex, Brittany and Lilian Hearne. He also leaves behind two loving sisters, Mary Sears and Jean Danna and husband Sam Danna; and two loving sisters-in-law, Lynn Haskins and husband Brian Haskins and Jill Andersen; and many special nieces and nephews across this great country from Virginia to California and most places in between: North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Texas, Colorado, Oregon, Washington and back to New Mexico. He positively, warmly and whole-heartedly impacted many lives in many places, friends and families. He will long be remembered and deeply cherished by all.
Friends and family may visit on Friday, January 29, 2016 beginning at 12:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Wyoming in Albuquerque. Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. also at FRENCH - Wyoming. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. A "Celebration of Life" reception will follow interment. Location will be announced during the ceremonies.
In lieu of flowers: Paul Longoria served as an Airman First Class in the U.S. Air Force for over four years back in the Sixties, his son would also join the U.S. Air Force and retire as a brigadier general, they would both ask, as well as Paul's entire family that in lieu of flowers, donations on his behalf be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or any appropriate charity that is dedicated to helping our great men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces and their families; he would also add, God Bless those wonderful men and women and God Bless the United States of America.
