Paul Otto Lindberg

Paul Otto Lindberg, retired Army chaplain and Lt., Col., passed away May 15, 2015 at the age of 78. Paul was born June 29, 1936 in Fredonia, NY to Willis E. and Helen E. Lindberg. Willis and Helen moved their family of three to Tucson, AZ when Paul was in the fifth grade. He grew up there and graduated from Amphitheater High School. Upon graduation, he hitchhiked from Tucson to California to attend BIOLA College (the Bible Institute of Los Angeles). He met and married Ann Emley Lindberg in October, 1958. Paul's journey through life was rich and successful. He enjoyed the outdoors with his family, hunting, fishing, singing and teaching his four children. Paul was honest, caring and loved jumping out of airplanes. He was truly a gifted man and loved life. He is survived by his four children, Jean Lindberg Eggert, Andrea Lindberg Williams, Warren Lindberg and Leah Lindberg; four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his father, Willis; his mother, Helen, and his sister, Jeanette. He is survived by his sister, Madeline Trotman. A Visitation will be held Friday, May 29, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Rio Rancho, 3906 19th Avenue SE. A Funeral Service will follow at 10:30 a.m. A Graveside Service will follow the service at 2:15 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery 501 N. Guadalupe Street, Santa Fe, NM 87501.
