A resident of Albuquerque since 1945, passed away May 16, 2014. He was born January 15, 1923 in Longmont, Colorado to Willie Ruth Adams Heggem and John Milford Heggem. His parents and only sibling, Gordon M. Heggem, preceded him in death. He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Patricia Ann Jones Heggem; son Ronald P. Heggem and wife Janice; daughter Lori Heggem Horn and husband Terry; granddaughter Kyle Reagin, husband Neil, and daughter Kendyl, all of Albuquerque; grandson Bradford Heggem, wife Cicely, children Austin, Alyssa, and Jace, of Gilbert, Arizona; grandson Ryan Horn, of Fort Worth, Texas; granddaughter Kelly Horn, of Dallas, Texas; nieces and nephews; and dearly loved friends. Paul took great pride in his service with the US Coast Guard during WWII. He attended UNM, where he met his wife Patricia, pledged Sigma Chi and was a Lobo cheerleader. His lifelong career began as a delivery boy for Albuquerque Blueprint Co., retiring as an officer and co-owner of the company. Upon retiring, he enjoyed working part-time as a realtor. Paul humbly served his community including the Albuquerque Jaycees, Boys Club of America, United Way, and the Albuquerque City Planning Commission. Paul's earlier years were filled with woodworking, singing, dancing, fishing, poker, the Dallas Cowboys, music, reading, photography and his beloved dachshunds. He was a good friend to many. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 29, 10:30 a.m. at FRENCH - Wyoming Chapel.
