GREENFIELD, PAUL V. Paul V. Greenfield passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2014, at the age of 91. He was born in Urbana, IL to the late R. Edman and Eleanor Greenfield on December 14, 1922. Paul served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He earned a degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University and worked for the Dow Chemical Company before retiring to Albuquerque, where he started a management consultant business and developed educational software. In addition to inspiring others through his honesty, unfailing optimism and exceptional kindness, Paul was known for the scope and comprehensiveness of his knowledge and the diversity of his interests and hobbies. An avid golfer, he played regularly into his late 80s. He was well-traveled and loved reading, photography, gardening, rock hounding and lapidary work. Paul was preceded in death by wives, Betty Zeldam Greenfield in 1952, Lydia Beatty Greenfield in 2003, and Ann Ware Greenfield in 2012; as well as his brother, Dr. Robert Greenfield in 1985. Paul is survived by his children: daughter, Patricia and her husband, Andrew West, son Paul V. Greenfield, Jr. and his wife, Rhoda, son John A. Greenfield and his wife, Jamey Lathrop, and son, Alan R. Greenfield; along with granddaughter, Katherine West; and his beloved companion for the last two years, Nadine Loetzer; stepsons, David and Dan Ware and their families; and many nieces and nephews also survive him. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 15, 2014, 2:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Westside. Interment will occur at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date.
