Patsy Maelynn (Bean) Elliott

July 2, 1931 — March 6, 2023

Patsy Maelynn Bean Elliott (Pat, Patty), a longtime resident of Albuquerque passed away peacefully Monday, March 6, 2023, after a long illness. Patsy was born in Holdenville, Oklahoma to parents, Dow Bean and Inez Abernathy Bean. She attended schools in Oklahoma and Kansas, including the University of Wichita. Patsy moved to Albuquerque as a young woman and briefly worked at Gulton Industries where she met George H. Elliott. They were married on September 29, 1962. Patty then worked at General Motors Corporation (GMAC) for 30 years until retirement. Patty and George enjoyed travel to all of the States and Europe. Her oil paintings reflected her early childhood spent in Oklahoma and her love of rural Oklahoma. The couple enjoyed a long retirement until George passed away on March 12, 2011.

Patsy is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Smith Williams (husband, Colonel Bruce Williams, deceased); grandchildren, Joshua (wife, Dani), Carolina, and Jordan; great-grandchildren, Malakai and Mateo (Joshua and Dani); brother, Jerry Dow Bean (Carole) of Holts Summit, Missouri; nieces and nephews, Brock (Vicki), Carla, Dana, and Jim Niebergall; and numerous cousins in Oklahoma and Kansas.

She was a longtime member of Asbury United Methodist Church. If you so desire, contributions in her honor may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church, 10000 Candelaria Rd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Interment will be in Santa Fe at the Santa Fe National Cemetery and the Bean Family Plot in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
