Patrick John Johnson

May 8, 1959 — October 16, 2015

Patrick Johnson, 56, beloved husband and father, was called home to be with the Lord and was greeted by his earthly father and favorite hunting dog on October 16, 2015. He entered this world as a miracle on May 8, 1959, in Minneapolis, MN, born to Ronald and Patricia Johnson. He continued to be a tenacious miracle, remaining in the Air Force as a C-130 and C-27 pilot and instructor for more than 20 years, from 1984 to 2004 - even after being diagnosed with liver disease. He received a liver transplant in 2004 at the University of Colorado, and at the time, he was the sickest person to have ever received a liver. After six months, many complications, a broken hip and being given last rites, he came home to his family. Still a fighter, he was able to come back and do the things he loved: hunting, fishing, camping and motorcycle riding. He continued to fight after a motorcycle accident he wasn't expected to survive, and five-and-a-half years later, he finally decided to rest. He is survived by his wife, Cindy Johnson; his children, Jessica Johnson, Shelly Johnson and Sarah Johnson, and Patty Jean Nault, Sam Johnson and Eric Johnson - his children from a previous marriage, as well as his brother, Todd Johnson, and mother, Patricia Johnson.
