Patrick James Walsh was born in Santa Fe, NM on October 7th, 1992, to Patrick Edward Walsh and Karin Martinez. He grew up in Albuquerque and Taos Ski Valley.
Patrick met his beloved wife in 2015. They married at San Juan Bautista on January 13th, 2020. They welcomed their baby boy, James Karl Walsh, on October 17th, 2020.
Patrick was dedicated to his Roman Catholic faith. He studied history and theology and had a great devotion to the Blessed Kaiser Karl I of Austria, whom he tried to emulate in his love for his family every day.
He died of cancer on the morning of Thursday, December 30th, 2021. He received Last Rites and died wearing his scapular.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Joseph Walsh; his uncles, Bernard and John; and his cousin, Nicholas.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Walsh, and their 14-month-old son. He is also survived by his siblings, John, Avery, and Callie, his grandmother, parents, and aunts and uncles. He was greatly loved and will be remembered by many. Donations in his memory may be made to clearcreekmonks.org/donate/
A Rosary will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022, beginning at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass at 10:30 a.m., a public viewing will start at 9:00 a.m., at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 5800 Ouray Rd. NW in Albuquerque.
Procession to Mount Calvary Cemetery will be at 12:00 p.m. where burial will be held.
A reception will follow at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 5800 Ouray Rd. NW in Albuquerque.
