Patrick Albert Benavides

Patrick Benavides, 71, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and dear friend of many was called to his eternal resting place on Wednesday, July 28, 2021. He entered this world on May 17, 1950 in Las Cruces, NM. He is survived by his daughter, Mercedes Benavides; grandson, Jayden Benavides; his sister, Sylvia Gurule. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Joy Shook; his brother, Robert Benavides; his mother, Eva Sullivan Mead; and father, Albert Benavides.

He was one of a kind, always bringing laughter to those around him with endless jokes. His generous spirit shined through in his attentiveness to his friends and family, and his devotion to his pets. He was a jack of all trades, well known for his jewelry making and gold-plating skills and was a regular crew member on movie sets. The last decade of his life he was fully committed to his faith and was an active member of Sagebrush Church. "To be absent from the body is to be present with the lord." 2 Corinthians 5:8

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 5th, 2021, 1:00 p.m., at Sagebrush Church, 6440 Coors Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87120.
