Age 77, a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, for many years, passed away on June 6, 2013. Patricia had only a few distant relatives surviving her and their whereabouts are unknown. Patricia was a school teacher/ librarian in the Los Angeles School District for decades, retiring from that line of work prior to coming to Albuquerque. Patricia was of a mind that children were in need of always honing and increasing their learning and reading skills and her earthly mission was a great love of teaching children about books, the joy of books, the joy of reading, and how educational pursuits learning from books would and could enhance their lives. Indeed, she dedicated her life to that pursuit and made a tremendous amount of difference in the lives of many young children regarding learning and reading skills. It was said that Pat was a little dismayed by the ongoing demise of reading skills, speaking skills, learning skills and the lack of education reading and comprehension and language/spelling skills in children and thusly adults, as well. Her faith, her love of knowledge and the pathways of sinderesis were inherent throughout her life. Patricia was a member of Monterey Baptist Church in Albuquerque and was known and loved by many parishioners. She will be very much missed for her openness and devotion to Jesus Christ, who was her personal Savior. It could be said that she had two great missions in life, that being the betterment of the world for children and the dedication of her life to her unshakable faith. Services for Patricia will be held on Friday, June 28, 2013, 1:30 p.m. at Monterey Baptist Church with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. The Honorable Dr. Pastor Cone will preside at Monterey Baptist Church and at the interment at Sunset Memorial Park. The Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Blair Alexander and his wife, Shelly Alexander, John Nystrom and the extremely devout spiritual community of Monterey Baptist Church as well as all of her friends who knew and love her at Meadows Senior Community. Should friends desire, memorial contributions can be made to a Christian organization of your choice or to a library of your choice. Patricia has made substantial bequests to various Christian organizations throughout the Country, to include Monterey Baptist Church and her contributions will greatly outlive all of us, all due to her strong Christian Faith.
