Patricia (Nolan) Rajala

Patricia Rajala, age 54, was born September 23, 1964 and passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by family, on November 26, 2018. Patricia was a well known and loved special education teacher and administrator for over 23 years with Albuquerque Public Schools. Patricia's family will forever remember her for being a wonderful wife, daughter, sister, aunt, step-mother, grandmother and friend. We will all miss her amazing traditional holiday dinners, as she was such a wonderful cook. We all relied on her often, and we will miss her love, wisdom and compassion. She is survived by her loving husband, Bruce Rajala; mother, Carol Nolan; brother, Mark Nolan and wife, Kathleen; sister, Edna Nolan and spouse, Lucretia. She is also survived by mother-in-law Ann Rajala, step-son, Bradley Rajala and wife, Nichole; grandchildren, Kristoff and Elowen Rajala; and step-son, Johnny Hoffman and wife, Robin. She also leaves many beloved nieces and nephews, including Matthew Nolan, Savanna Nolan, Erin Davis, Lynn Rajala, Raquel Rajala and Alexis Rajala; and other cherished loved-ones in the Nolan, Rajala, Harris and Austin families. Patricia's life was deeply touched by the countless children, parents and colleagues at Albuquerque Public Schools that she had the honor of working with over the years. Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Joseph C. Nolan, and previous husband, J. Michael Harris. Mass will be Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of The Holy Rosary, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW, Albuquerque, NM, with a reception to immediately follow in the Rosario Hall. Graveside service will follow the reception at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Calvary, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE.  The family requests that donations go to the APS Education Foundation at http://www.aps.edu/education-foundation earmarked "Special Education".
