Patricia Anne Pabisch, nee Trench, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, due to the consequences of a fall which occurred a few weeks earlier. Patricia was born on September 9, 1939 in Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire, England. She grew up in Cleethorpes and finished her schooling there. There she also met her husband, Peter Pabisch, who took her with him to his home in Vienna, Austria, where they shared the first of their 66 years together. In Vienna, their daughter, Angela, was born and, in 1969, they all emigrated to the United States. Pat and Peter eventually became naturalized US citizens.
Patricia's career reflects her unique personality. She filled many responsible and leading positions throughout the years, from international secretary and business manager in Austria to a sought- after office manager at the University of New Mexico Medical School, as well as program manager at Pulmonary Associates and Presbyterian Hospital. She spoke German and French, besides her lovely, native British English. Pat was also a splendid glass artist and interior designer in her private life, and had many other talents.
She will be missed and remembered by all her family as a loving, considerate, caring, and supportive wife, mother, and grandmother, and by neighbors, colleagues and anyone else she encountered as a generous, helpful and involved member of her community. Her many loveable characteristics, her sense of humor, her acute intelligence, and so much more will be missed forever.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Peter; her daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Achilles Argatzopoulos; her grandchildren, Ariadne and Apostolos; her brother and sister-in-law, Philip and Pauline Best; and many other family members in the trans-Atlantic realm.
