Patricia (Pat) Taylor Morgan passed away on August 31, 2023, after a long illness at 83. She was born to Rex and Elsie Taylor on March 29, 1940, in Raton, New Mexico; she was the middle child of 3 girls. In 1957, she married her high school sweetheart, the love of her life James (Jim) Morgan whom she met at Valley High School in Albuquerque They were married for over 66 years and had 2 daughters.

She is survived by husband, Jim; daughters, Rhonda Douville and Danielle (Tom) Trodden; granddaughter Morgan (Adam) Murtaugh; and grandsons Matthew (Alexandria) and Taylor Trodden (Sal Gonzales); great-grandchildren Ronan and Torin Murtaugh; sisters Nanci Easley and Carole (Richard) Blazick (who remained close to her until the end of her life); several nieces and nephews. Pat is preceded in death by her parents Rex and Elsie Taylor, her grandson Keenan Douville, and brother-in-law Bill Easley.

Pat and Jim were known as Patty and Jimmy to their parents, sisters, nieces, and nephews. She was a dedicated and loving wife and mother; a homemaker, taking great care of their home, her children, and her husband Jim as he worked long and irregular hours on the railroad for 42 years for Santa Fe, Amtrak, and Burlington Northern Santa Fe.

Grandma Pat was an available taxi for her 4 grandkids before and after school and her grandma love was abundant. She was always willing to help any family members in need, especially the elders on both sides of the family. She was a good cook and was 'known' for her rigatoni and meatballs. She and Jim had rental properties which she managed and helped Jim maintain. Pat helped her daughters who managed and worked at Susie's Casuals at Coronado Mall. In her younger days she was involved in bowling leagues. She and Jim played cards with a group of close friends. She enjoyed water aerobics and for a few years, she taught swimming to special needs children at UNM Johnson Center Aquatics. She will be remembered and missed by many for her kindness and generosity. Her love created memories we'll forever keep in our hearts.

A memorial for Pat is planned at her home on October 8 at 2:00 p.m. Please join our family in her remembrance.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Patricia's honor to the  Alzheimer's Association  and/or  Presbyterian Hospice  .
