Patricia Moon

March 17, 1940 — May 20, 2024

Patricia Ann Moon, 84, beloved daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother was peacefully called to be with God May 20, 2024 in Albuquerque, New Mexico at her home. She was born into this world, March 17, 1940 in Mosquero, NM to Santos and Simona Quintana.

Patricia is survived by her three beloved children, Maria Lopez of Rio Rancho, David Lopez of Albuquerque, William Moon and his wife Sherry of Killeen, Texas and Linda Fraschilla and her spouse John of Albuquerque. She is also survived by her precious grandchildren; Anthony Lopez, Christopher Lopez and his wife Victoria, Jennifer Lopez-Harmon and her husband Josh, Cameron Leonard, Aaron Moon, Lillianna Fraschilla and Madison Fraschilla. She was survived by her great-grandchildren; Fabian Lopez, Mateo Lopez, Natalie Espinosa-Lopez and Charlie Moon and many wonderful cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Santos and Simona Quintana and husband, William Moon.

Patricia graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1958. She would take classes at TVI whenever possible as she loved learning. Patricia worked in electronics at GTE Linkert and Motorolla. Later in life, Patricia found the job that made her happiest as a nurse's assistant at Sandia Base Elementary and she worked there until retirement. Patricia adored her children and made sure she was involved in their lives from being the Den leader and Girl Scout Leader to being involved in the PTA. She was a wonderful homemaker and was very well-know as the best cook and baker. Patricia was a faithful and devout Catholic, attending Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church. Patricia was a woman of unconditional love. She loved everything and everyone. She truly lived for God doing His work where needed. She was a true believer in volunteer work and always seized any opportunity to make a difference. She enjoyed teaching C.C.D., being a Eucharistic Minister, providing meals to the homeless, as well as giving items to the Good Shepherd Center.. She loved to garden, feeding her birds, swimming, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
 Patricia will be remembered for her love, kindness and will forever be missed and loved.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 30th at 5:00 p.m. at French's Funeral Home at 1111 University Blvd. NE followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. The celebration of her life and legacy will be on Friday, May 31, at Our Lady Of the Annunciation Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. followed by a reception in the hall. Patricia will be buried at 1:00 p.m. at Mount Calvary Cemetery. In honor of Patricia, memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepard Center of Albuquerque, Good Shepherd Center | Homeless Shelter | New Mexico | Albuquerque (gscnm.org)
