Patricia Ann (Marsh) Milligan

d. August 1, 2017

Patricia Ann Milligan, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed August 1, 2017, at the age of 70. She was born in Dubois, PA to Bob and Viola (Wright) Marsh, who preceded her in death.

Patricia graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1969. While going to school, she became a Candy Striper at Presbyterian Hospital in the newborn area, holding and rocking new life. Upon graduating she began working with infants. She transferred into the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and worked for 32 years before she retired. She loved nursing but always said, “Give me my sick preemie, but do not ask me anything about adult care.”

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Dennis Milligan. Pat was the SUNSHINE OF HIS LIFE. They met at Presbyterian Hospital where he was a pharmacist. She is also survived by her two sons, Gary Milligan and Nicole Bomar and granddaughters, Breanna and Riley; and son, Patrick Milligan and his wife, Toya Milligan and grandchildren, Mackenzie, Bailey, Logan, Ryan, Declan, and Colin.

Pat, as she was called, believed the secret to a wonderful life was, “Live every day to your fullest. We cannot change what’s happened and we do not know what tomorrow will bring…never look back.”

Besides her love for taking care of very sick newborn infants, she enjoyed traveling with her family to different places and being “On the Road Again.” She also loved needlepoint, counted cross stitch, the vegetable garden her husband planted for her, along with lots of pretty flowers. She adored all the grandkids---again holding and rocking new life.

Rest in peace, Patty, your pain and suffering are all gone and you and your Mom and Dad are all together again.

Services will be held Friday, August 4, 2017, 2:00 p.m., at the Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.  Interment will follow.

Everyone loved you very much and will miss you lots, and you will always be in our hearts.

Lots of Love, XOXO, D.
