Patricia Green

Patricia, Pat, Patty, Mom, Grandma, Aunt Patty, to name a few names she was known by, passed peacefully on Sunday, October 1, 2023, in Edgewood, New Mexico with her youngest son, Ted, by her side taking her final sweet breath. She was 94 years young. She lived at Beehive Homes Assisted Living and was under Beehive and hospice care. Mom was born Tuesday, July 23, 1929, in Hasting, Nebraska to Myreta Frances and Theodore Calvin Page. She attended Hastings High School and then for one year at the University of Nebraska.

Pat married Roderick P. Green in 1949 after "Rod" was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marines. They lived in Hideaway Park, Colorado working alongside and living with Rod's Mom and Dad (Thelma and Paul), running their café and butcher shop. Rod also worked for the Water Board.

They moved to Aurora, Colorado in 1951 after the birth of their first son, Roderick L. Green (Lewis). On August 3, 1952, their second son, Theodore Paul (Ted) was born. They moved to Boulder, Colorado and lived there until they both retired, sold their house and bought a 36ft. RV, traveling around the country.

Pat loved baking, crocheting, greenware pottery, being a Cub Scout leader, traveling with her sons and enjoying their Explorer Scout adventures, and watching both boys' sports activities.

Rod preceded Pat in death in 1995 after 30+ years as a Security Police Officer at the Dept. of Energy Rocky Flats Plant in Golden, Colo. He was 67. She is survived by her sons Roderick L. (Lew), and Theodore P (Ted); grandsons Joshua Paul (Josh), Damon Paul Green; grand-daughters Adrin Anne Green, Amanda Lee, Ashley Paige; great-grand kids Stavia Anu and Corbin Garver Kasehagen, Roderick (Roddy) John, Declyn Reid, and Maverick Elias Green.

A very Special Thanks to the care givers at Beehive Homes Assisted Living in Edgewood, NM for going above and beyond in their loving care of Pat.

Cremation will take place through French Funerals and Cremations and a private ceremony will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado. Pat will be placed alongside her husband, Roderick Paul Green.
