Patricia R. Chavez

Patricia “Patti” Chavez, 64, dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Jan. 6, 2019 at 3:39 p.m. surrounded by her family. Patti was known for her love and dedication to her family. Family didn’t always just mean blood to her. She loved and wanted to help anyone. Patti enjoyed having all her family around and cooking for them, she gave the best hugs and always there to lend a helping hand. She is survived by her husband, James “Jimmy” Chavez; her children, Manuel Chavez and wife, Jozette, Hope Lopez and her, husband Jr, James Chavez and his wife, Jessica; her grandchildren, Nicholas Chavez, Curtis Chavez, Hailee Johnson, Paul Chavez, Jaime Johnson, Jocelyn Chavez, Kalani Chavez, Ashley Chavez, James Chavez, Kaitlyn Lopez and her great grandson, Cole Poncho. She is also survived by her sister, Carol Jaramillo; her brother, Kilino Marquez and his wife, Nicki and her brother Ronald Marquez and his wife Karen. She also leaves many cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also touching Patti’s life were her sister-in-law, Clara Jaramillo and her husband, Florence, her brother-in- law, Fred Chavez and his wife Margaret, and her brother-in-law, Bernie Saavedra. Patti is proceeded in death by her parents, Lalo and Rose Marquez, brother-in-law, Larry Jaramillo, brother-in-law, Wilfred Chavez, sister-in-law, Virginia Saavedra, and sister-in-law, Lubertita Molina. A Rosary will be held Friday, January 11, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Westside. A Mass will be on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church on 5712 Paradise Blvd. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114 and burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery at 1900 Edith Blvd. NE Albuquerque, NM 87102 with a reception to follow at St. Jude's parish hall.
